Best Place to own a condo in Myrtle Beach

by Jerry Pinkas

Buying a condo in Myrtle Beach is a great investment

Are you thinking of purchasing a condo in Myrtle Beach, SC and find yourself wondering what you should be looking for to ensure you are making a good investment? Have you ever wanted to purchase an investment property in Myrtle Beach but find detached homes to be out of your price range? If you answered 'yes' to any of these questions, todays blog post is for you! There are so many stunning condo buildings in the Myrtle Beach, SC area to choose from, many with breathtaking oceanfront views and in close proximity to world-class shopping, dining and entertainment options. In this blog post, we will be answering a few questions that we get pretty regularly, as well as providing you with some tips and what to look for when looking to purchase a condo in beautiful Myrtle Beach, SC.

What are the benefits of purchasing a condo?

Before we jump into the meat and potatoes of todays post, we wanted to first touch on some of the benefits buyers will see if they are to purchase a condo versus a detached, single family home in Myrtle Beach, SC. Not to say there are equally as many benefits to a detached home, but we wanted to highlight a few for condo living and see if they resonate with what you are looking for. The first benefit is that you don’t have to worry about maintenance or upkeep of a yard or common areas, as the HOA fee will most likely cover all of those for you. If you travel a lot for work, have a busy schedule, or simply just don't want to have to think about upkeep, this benefit is huge for you. The second benefit is affordability, as condos are usually priced lower than detached homes. And for a first time home buyer, or someone looking to purchase an investment property, this is a very appealing quality. A few other benefits that condos owners enjoy is the security of living in a building, a sense of community that you will find in most residences and the amenities that many condo buildings offer.

What type of condos should I be looking for in Myrtle Beach, SC?

The first thing you will want to look for when starting your condo search in Myrtle Beach, SC is what property will give you the best return on your investment. No one wants to purchase a condo only to find out in a few years that the unit was not a smart move financially. And on that note, if you are looking to purchase the condo as an investment property, you will want to make sure to look at and purchase units that will give you the highest return on rental income, which we will touch one a bit later.

The second thing you will want to look at when looking to purchase a condo is the Homeowners Association (or HOA) fee. This is an important area to be knowledgeable on as we find many people say that they do not want to pay a high HOA fee each month or quarter. And while we understand why you may think that, we also want to be sure to point out and help you realize the comparison of how much you are paying to what you are getting in return. There are some Homeowners Associations in Myrtle Beach that cover everything. And what do we mean by everything you ask? Everything from electric, insurance, flood insurance, water, internet, cable TV and pool service are all things that can be included in the HOA fee you would be paying.

Owning a Rental Condo in Myrtle Beach

It is important to see the benefit to this because if you were to add up all those expenses we just listed and try to get those services individually for a detached home on the beach you were to purchase, chances are you would end up paying much more on a monthly basis than most any HOA fee you will find. Our point here is that Homeowners Associations are very efficient with the money that comes in from those fees and you are not paying a fee just to pay a fee. You are putting out money for a good use and in turn do not have to worry about taking care of things such as maintenance of common areas and trash. And that means one more item you can check off your ‘to-do’ list!

The third (and final) thing you will want to do when looking to purchase a condo in Myrtle Beach, SC is to look at what you personally like. You are going to be the one coming home and settling into the condo each day, so it is crucial that you find a property that you like and are proud to call your own. Everything from the neighborhood to the layout of the condo are things to take into consideration and make sure they are to your liking. Things such as paint color, flooring and kitchen finishing’s can always be updated or replaced, but liking the structure and surrounding area should be taken into consideration and hold a lot of weight in the decision to move ahead with the purchase of the unit.

We are very confident that if you are to follow these three steps (in this order) that there is a good probability that you are going to find and secure the best investment that you can make. We know there are a lot of choices out there when it comes to condos in Myrtle Beach, SC, but keeping in mind return on investment, HOA fees and making sure the unit is to your liking are great ways to find the best unit for you. And while all this may sound a little daunting at first, we can assure you we have helped many individuals, couples and families find their perfect condo in Myrtle Beach, SC, and we know we can help you do the same!

Oceanfront Condos in Myrtle Beach

Is a condo in Myrtle Beach, SC a good investment property?

One reason is pretty apparent if you are to visit the area in the summer time, and that is that Myrtle Beach, SC is a very popular vacation destination and also one of the top cities in the country to live and retire to. The climate is mild, there are a lot of sunny days, you can golf pretty much year round, there is always something to do in the Grand Strand and well, lets face it, Myrtle Beach, SC has some of the most stunning beaches in the country! For these reasons (and many more) are why the Myrtle Beach area is becoming more and more popular, and therefore making it easier for you to find a renter for your unit. Another reason that a condo is such a great choice for a rental property is that much of the maintenance and upkeep of the surrounding property is usually covered in the HOA fee. Myrtle Beach Retirement Communities

by Jerry Pinkas

Retirement Communities North Myrtle Beach SC

What is a retirement community?

For the older adults reading this blog post, have you ever stopped to think what you will do or where you will live when you hit retirement age? It is no secret that Myrtle Beach, SC is one of the best places in the country to retire to, and there are many retirement communities that are ideal for those looking for a neighborhood with adults sharing similar interests and settling into their next chapter in life.

What is a retirement community you ask? A retirement community is typically defined as a housing complex or residential community that is specifically designed for older adults. Many (but not all) communities are age-qualified or age-restricted, typically age 55+, and offer many shared services and/or amenities for residents to enjoy. Over the past decade or so, we have seen many new retirement communities pop up around the Myrtle Beach area that have incredible floor plans, stunning finishes and provide a lifestyle that many retirees crave. Have you ever thought what it would be like to live in one of these communities? If not, or if you simply have questions on retirement communities, you are in the right place. In this blog post, we want to give you all the information surrounding retirement communities in Myrtle Beach in hopes to shed some light on if they may be a good fit for you. We hope you enjoy!

Myrtle Beach SC Retirement Living

What are the benefits of living in a retirement community?

There are many benefits that come with living in a retirement community in Myrtle Beach, one of them being a strong sense of community. While many typical stand-alone residential neighborhoods also offer this in Myrtle Beach, there is something to be said about the community feel and bond among residents in a retirement neighborhood. You are surrounded by residents that most likely are similar in age and are also enjoying their next chapter in life. You are surrounded by friends to socialize with, to do activities with and to bond with.  Another benefit is that many of the community’s feature “maintenance-free living,” which is great for residents who don’t want to worry about lawn care and other upkeep around their property and common areas.

There is also the added benefit of safety and security to take into consideration with retirement communities. Some of the neighborhoods are secluded, which ensures that only residents and approved guests are admitted on the property. Other security features of the community may include well lit sidewalks, common areas, streets, parking lots and common walkways, as well as clearly marked exit doors in the amenity areas.

What do homes within retirement communities look like?

While the size and design of the homes vary based on the builder and communities they are located within, many of the homes within retirement communities offer more livable square footage for residents to enjoy. They also typically are more affordable than other multi-level homes with open floor plans and offer increased energy efficiency. You will also typically see all the amenities of the community located on one floor, so residents will not have to worry about traveling up and down stairs to use and enjoy them. Many homes will also feature wider doorways and accessible bathroom features.

Another very attractive quality for retirees is how affordable South Carolina is compared to other destinations in the country, with the cost of living being below the national average. With a combination of low property, sales and income tax rates, Myrtle Beach is a perfect place for retirees who are looking to get the most of out their hard earned savings and enjoy the next phase of their life! Myrtle Beach Bank Owned Condos and Houses

by Jerry Pinkas

myrtle beach foreclosures and short sales

As you can see from the title, in today’s blog post we are going to be talking about bank owned condos and houses in Myrtle Beach. There are a lot of questions surrounding this topic, and we hope to answer some of these in hopes to show you the many benefits that can come from purchasing a bank owned property. It is always good to keep your options open when starting the search for a new home in Myrtle Beach, and we hope we can shed some light and help you make a decision if these properties are the right fit for you and your family.

Bank Foreclosed Properties in Myrtle Beach

What does it mean if a condo or house is ‘bank owned?”

When a condo or house is bank owned, it means that the bank has foreclosed on the property. This means that the owner of the condo or home defaulted on the loan, leading to legal actions and proceedings from the bank against the owner to seize the property in repayment of the mortgage debt. There are also other times where the borrower will give the bank the deed for the condo or home in lieu of proceeding with a foreclosure, which is referred to as dation. The bank will sometimes accommodate this request from the borrower if they find that there is sufficient equity in the property in hopes to avoid a large loss for the bank.

Are bank owned condos and houses a good investment?

These properties have the potential to be incredible investments! For one, many banks are looking to get these condos and homes off their backs. This affords you the opportunity to snag a property in Myrtle Beach (potentially) under market value! And if you are to do any repairs or upgrades, this will make the condo or home worth more if you ever decide to sell it in the future: cha-ching! And with the secret of Myrtle Beach out, the area has become such a desirable location for residents and visitors, and you should therefore not have much trouble finding an eager buyer who wants to enjoy the many benefits South Carolina has to offer.

On that topic, bank owned houses and condos can also be a great investment property. Buyers can potentially purchase the property at a lower price, making the barrier to entry in the investment property market fairly low. And again, with Myrtle Beach being such a desirable location within the country (what, with incredible beaches, weather, shopping, dining, entertainment…. Okay we will stop bragging now) you will always have someone interested in renting the property – whether it be a full time rental or more sporadic with out of town visitors. Either way, bank owned condos and homes have the potential to become incredible investment properties for those interested.

Myrtle Beach SC foreclosed oceanfront property

What are the benefits of purchasing a bank owned condo or house?

There are many benefits that can come from purchasing a condo or house that is bank owned. As we spoke about earlier, one of them is price. Banks are usually wanting to get the seized properties off their books quickly, which can prove to be a huge benefit for you as they have the potential to come down drastically in price. Is there a neighborhood or part of town that you have been dreaming to live in but simple can not afford? Would you love to live near the glistening Myrtle Beach water but the price tag is too hefty for your budget? Or maybe you are just looking for more square footage for your growing family. We see these all the time from clients.

Well luckily for you there is a potential for a bank owned property to be available in these neighborhoods or parts of town that can check off everything on your wish list and fall in your ideal price range. What we are trying to say is that bank owned condos or homes give people options. A property that would, under normal circumstances, be completely out of your search criteria all of a sudden becomes tangible for you and your family.

Another benefit to a bank owned property is the potential to customize the home or condo to your taste and preference if you plan on doing any repairs or upgrades to the property. Since some of these properties need a little tender loving care, you are able to pick out things such as paint color, finishes, flooring and window treatments. It gives you an excuse to make the home your perfect sanctuary and have things just the way you want them. And while some people may only see a hefty price tag with these improvements, we tend to look at the glass half full and think of it as a terrific opportunity. Also, you probably were able to get the condo or home at a lower price which leaves some funds to put towards these projects. It truly is a win-win!

Are there any cons of purchasing a bank owned condo or house?

As with most things in life, with the good comes potential for some drawback. When it comes to buying a condo or house that is bank owned there are some things that we want you to keep in mind. Because bank owned properties always have the potential of being vacant for some time before new owners move in, the home may need some repairs. Things such as new paint, pipes and air conditioners may need to be purchased and installed. And with that comes the potential for costly bills with your name on them. On the flip side, as we mentioned earlier, this can also be a fun way for you to put your own touch on the property to make it reflect your taste.

Bank Owned Condos and Houses of Myrtle Beach

Prior to closing, it may be a good ideal to hire a trusted inspector to ensure there are no surprises after you close on the condo or home. You can also make the contract “contingent” for a few days or at least until you are able to get an inspector out to survey the property. And while the bank more than likely will not fix anything that needs to be repaired, again it alleviates any large potential surprises, and also may give you a little negotiating power in the deal. We want to make sure that you do not let the excitement of purchasing a home overshadow the due diligence and inspections that may need to be done. Our team is here to guide you and think of the things that you may not have. And we are happy to do it!

What should I do if I am interested in purchasing a bank owned condo or house?

We hope this blog gave you a little more insight into the world of bank owned condos and houses, but we are sure that you more than likely still have some lingering questions, or questions that were sparked from this post. That is where we come in! Call our experienced team here at Jerry Pinkas Reality to answer any questions you have and help figure out if purchasing a bank owned condo or house is the best route for you and your family. Myrtle Beach Townhouses Myrtle Beach Townhomes

by Jerry Pinkas

Myrtle Beach SC Townhomes and Townhouses for Sale

What is a townhome and why should I be interested in purchasing one?

By definition, a townhouse is a multi-story home that is attached to one or more similar houses by conjoining walls. These homes are usually found in more modern housing developments and are the perfect place for you and your family to call home in Myrtle Beach! Individuals and families alike purchase townhomes for a myriad of reasons, some of these include being part of a close knit community, the lower cost of townhomes compared to detached single-family homes, the style of the homes themselves, lower utility bills and having less property to maintain. These, and many others, are a few reasons why many people are looking more towards a townhome in the search for their perfect home.

townhouses for sale in myrtle beach sc

Townhomes in Myrtle Beach range in price, but many start under $100,000 and range into the $300,000’s depending of course on location, size and desirability. Many townhomes have two to five bedrooms with one to four baths, and offer buyers spacious living areas, as well as many upgrades such as Plantation Shudders throughout the homes, upgraded kitchen appliances and lots of cabinet and closet space. There are some townhomes in Myrtle Beach that also have a screened in porch, which are perfect to spend summer nights on overlooking a lake, sharing memories with families and friends and taking in the sights of local wildlife.

One aspect we want to point out is that you are not necessarily compromising on space when you look to purchase a townhome. While the setup may be different than traditional houses, many units are the ideal size for families. Many of the townhouses also have spacious living and dining areas, so you will not be pressed for space when entertaining. Also, the different levels of the townhome also give you more living area and a unique home layout.

Buyers will also be pleased to find a variety of styles, including many quaint brick townhomes, that bring a very charming and homey feel to the neighborhood. You will also find many distinctive, colorful townhouses in the Myrtle Beach area that bring a little life to the area. And in terms of location, buyers will also be pleased to see that many of these homes are desirably located near the water, as well as many shopping, dining and entertainment options in Myrtle Beach.

What is the difference between a townhome and a condo?

We wanted to be sure to touch on this topic as to avoid any confusion when we say “townhomes,” as there is some overlap in the two, but they are still different from one another. A condo is a building containing units which are individually owned, and townhomes, while also individually owned, are similar architecturally to row houses where the owners share at least one or more walls. When it comes to size, condos are usually smaller than townhomes, which can feature multiple stores and be quite large in comparison.

Another difference in townhomes and condos is the HOA fees. Condo owners usually pay higher HOA fees, as they go towards exterior upkeep such as removal of trash, pest control, pools and lawn care. Townhouse owners often have a lower monthly HOA fee as they are responsible for much of their own upkeep out of their own pocket. The last difference we want to bring to your attention is the ownership of a condo versus a townhouse. Owners of condos only own their individual, interior unit of the building and all other areas including community areas, lawns, etc. are owned by the owners of the building. On the other hand, the exterior, interiors, lawn, driveway and roof are all property of the townhouse owner.

Benefits of a Myrtle Beach SC Townhome

What are the benefits of buying a townhome in Myrtle Beach?

There are many incredible benefits of purchasing a townhome in Myrtle Beach, the first one being the initial cost of purchasing one. We generally see townhomes as a much more affordable option for families looking to purchase a home, and they are also a wonderful way for first time homebuyers to establish equity. If you are in love with a certain area of Myrtle Beach but the single family homes are out of your price range, a townhome is a great alternative for you. It not only affords you the option to live in your ideal area, but it allows you to enjoy the many benefits of a home while avoiding a hefty monthly mortgage and going over budget in the search for a detached, single family home.

Another great benefit of purchasing a townhome is the amenities. Often times the community will provide tennis courts, pools, a community center and park areas, among other attractions. There are some townhome communities in Myrtle Beach that are very luxurious with impeccable lawns, local recreation and even some with ponds and water fountains to gaze at. And since many townhome communities have some sort of an association, you can be assured that these areas will be well maintained for a relatively small fee and not much work from your end.

Utility expenses are another incredible benefit of buying a townhouse, as most structures are relatively compact and at least one wall of the home is shared with a neighbor. This is a big help when it comes to utility bills, especially with things such as cooling and heating, which are usually much cheaper when buyers go with a townhome. While savings like this tend to not be taken into account, it is a very important aspect that can end up making a big difference for you and your family over time. And again, most of the townhome communities have associations, which is another helpful aspect to buyers as they help to keep the community organized and everyone accountable. You can rest assured that the community will be well maintained and any pesky neighbors will be kept in line.

Myrtle Beach townhouse rentals

Are Townhomes in Myrtle Beach a good rental property?

If you are looking to purchase a rental property in Myrtle Beach, a townhome is a great option for you! As we spoke about earlier, one of the main benefits is that most of these properties are less expensive to purchase initailly compared to a detached home, so the barrier to entry in the rental market with these homes are fairly low depending on the neighborhood. And since your mortgage has the potential to be on the lower end, you would not have to charge renters as much to cover your expenses every month, which in turn would draw in more potential occupants and ensure the property is always rented out.

Also, townhomes are very appealing when it comes to renters as they offer many of the amenities of a detached home, such as space, full kitchen, garage and laundry, without having to pay a heftier price. And seeing as how many townhouses have Home Owners Associations, you can be assured that the common areas will always be kept up, leaving less work and worry for you.

There are a few reasons why purchasing a foreclosure in Myrtle Beach is a good idea. For one, it is a good deal. If the bank owns the property, chances are they are looking to get it off their books pretty quick. This works to your benefit because there is a high probability that they will price the home lower than normal in hopes to get multiple offers on the table. Also, if the the bank owns the property, most likely any debts or leans on the property, as well as any issues, will most likely be cleared. And if the home is badly distressed there is a chance, in addition to your primary means of financing the house, that it can qualify for a home rehabilitation loan package. This can prove to be a huge relief (and take a little pressure off your back) if major issues with the property arise and you do not have the funds to cover the maintenance.
Another great reason (honestly one of the main reasons) to purchase a foreclosure is the equity the home has the potential to accumulate from buying it at a lower price. Whether you take some time and money to make repairs and upgrades to the home, or just have patience as the area continues to develop, you are putting yourself in a good position when you purchase a home under the market value. If you are doing upgrades to the home, you also have the opportunity to create the home of your dreams with customized finishes that are tailored around your taste and preference.  It is also good to note that you have the potential to find a home that is move-in ready. What a win-win that would be! There will more than likely be other buyers that are interested and will compete for the property, but if you are the lucky ones to snag it, you have hit the real estate jackpot!
Time is another great aspect when it comes to foreclosure properties in that the banks can take a little bit longer to make a decision. And because the house is vacant, what would normally have to be set and coordinated around a strict schedule can be done at your convenience. Bring an engineer if needed and do your inspections if you are able to. This will help you be better prepared when it comes to making the final decision on whether to go ahead with purchasing the property or not. And if you do decide to move forward with the property, the extra time it make take for all the paperwork to go through can be used to complete all the things you need to do before the property is closed on. While some may view this time as wasteful and a negative aspect of a foreclosure, we urge you to flip your frame of mind and see it as an incredible opportunity to get your ducks in a row and ensure all your “I’s” are dotted and “T’s” are crossed.
Our next pro when it comes to purchasing a foreclosure is a pretty obvious one if you plan on financing the home – a lower mortgage payment each month. Purchasing a property that is below your set budget will in turn make your mortgage payment lower, and allow you to have more cash on hand each month. Purchasing a foreclosure also gives people a chance to purchase a home in a desirable neighborhood that they may not have otherwise had the chance to live in. How incredible would it be to live in your dream neighborhood without paying the incredible prices? Properties that are in foreclosure are usually distressed and can be found anywhere, in all ranges of condition and price point. You may also be able to get a bigger house for the budget you have set.
What are the cons of purchasing a foreclosure in Myrtle Beach?
As with most all decisions, with the good comes the potential for some bad. It is important to see both sides to ensure you are making the right decision for you and your family. A potential con that can come along with purchasing a foreclosure include overdue home repairs and properties that are in poor condition. Not everyone is looking to fix up a home, and if you are looking for a move-in ready property, a foreclosure may not always be your best avenue. In most cases there are repairs that need to take place in order for the home to be up to par as some of the properties may not have been lived in for some time. Buyers may find things such as broken pipes, bug infestations and mold buildup. While taking on the repairs is not a complete deal breaker, it is definitely something to consider.
Another item to consider when purchasing a foreclosure in Myrtle Beach is that there are no guarantees. The process of purchasing a home that is under foreclosure has the potential to be a long and frustrating process, with slow response times and extra paperwork. And like we spoke about earlier, while some people may see this as a con, it is also a great time to ensure you have everything in line and allows you to take your time without rushing. Competition is another thing to consider when going to purchase a foreclosed property. There are a lot of people that see the value in these homes such as the potential to customize it and more square footage. Therefore, naturally, there will more than likely be other bids for the property that create a little competition with your offer. This is not a bad thing, just stay patient.
Can foreclosures be a good investment property?
Absolutely! If you have the time, money and patience to take on any construction, improvements and upgrades that can come with a foreclosure, then these properties are ideal for you. Foreclosure properties, whether for a rehab project or income property, set you up for a win due to being able to purchase the home at a low cost and sell or rent at a higher price. You can put all the top notch finishes on the house and give yourself a competitive advantage at other homes in the area with a lower barrier to entry in the world of investment properties.

Pros and Cons of Living in Myrtle Beach

by Jerry Pinkas

Why would I want to live in Myrtle Beach during the winter?
When you think of Myrtle Beach, what comes to mind? We would bet that bright sun, warm sand and glistening surf are some of the first visions to pop up. Or maybe people strolling the boardwalk, dining on the patios of some of the areas top restaurants or shopping at the local boutiques.  Many people visit the Grand Strand in the summer for all these reasons, but what many may not realize is that Myrtle Beach is a year-round destination with so much to offer guests and residents. That’s right, contrary to popular belief, the city doesn’t close for business and roll up the sidewalks during the dead of winter.
It’s January in Myrtle Beach. Image walking along the beach on a beautiful sunny day in your swimsuit while scrolling your newsfeed to find your friends around the country shoveling snow in their heaviest and warmest winter attire. While shoveling snow in January sounds fun and all (…not really), the only thing that is being shoveled in Myrtle Beach the first month of the year is glistening sand with little colorful plastic toys. There really is nothing quite like spending a January day on the beach in South Carolina filled with people of all ages enjoying the sunshine and warmer weather. So you pick, snowman or sand castle? We think it’s a no-brainer.
There are a million reasons why Myrtle Beach in January is the perfect place for a getaway, but why settle for only a vacation? How many times have you been on a trip and thought “Man, I don’t want to leave – I could see myself living here.” Well friends, our team at Jerry Pinkas Reality is here to tell you that could become a reality for you. If you have ever thought of moving here, there has never been a better time than now to make that happen. What better way to experience winter than on a sunny beach and warm sand between your toes? Use that as motivation to move forward and let us help you find your dream home so you can build your tan year-round and enjoy Myrtle Beach on a permanent basis!

An easier question may be what isn’t there to do in Myrtle Beach! Over the years the city has transformed into a stunning home for lucky residents and a very popular vacation resort along the Atlantic coast of South Carolina. Showing off with a string of over sixty miles of glistening beaches, Myrtle Beach has become the hub of the Grand Strand and is filled with exciting adventures around every corner for families to enjoy. For a day out on the water, enjoy water sports such as parasailing, jet skiing, banana boat rides or kayaking in the ocean and bays. Or take one of the many water tours such as dolphin watching or chartered sailboat and boat tours. There are also numerous places that offer boat rentals for a day of fishing or sight seeing at your own pace. For a night of fun on the water, head to two of the only casino ships in South Carolina to enjoy Vegas-style gambling, fine food and live entertainment.  Once the sun goes down, try your luck gambling as the ships set sail twice on five-hour cruises from Little River, which is just a short drive north from Myrtle Beach.
And for a day of sun bathing and relaxation, roll out your beach towel and lather on the sunscreen at one of the many beach areas. Enjoy the warm sand between your toes while taking in all the natural beauty Myrtle Beach has to offer. There is also a 1.2-mile beachfront boardwalk that has something for everyone, young and old alike. The boardwalk features oceanfront views of pristine beach line, arcades for the young at heart and delicious restaurants, as well as numerous shops and souvenir stands. For the adventurous souls out there, the boardwalk also has an old-fashioned Family Kingdom amusement park that offers visitors plenty of laughter and fun. It is also home to the SkyWheel, which is the tallest Ferris wheel east of the Mississippi river, standing at an incredible 187-feet tall. The SkyWheel has 42 temperature controlled, glass-enclosed gondolas, and is the perfect place to take in a stunning and panoramic view of the city. During the summer months, the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk hosts local events and festivals, including Ocean Boulebard’s Hot Summer Nights.

For the avid golfer, Myrtle Beach may be your idea of heaven on earth, as the area is home to seven of the top one hundred public golf courses in the nation. It has also been referred to as one of the top golf destinations in the country with stunning celebrity-designed golf courses and impressive club houses. And while there are many stunning golf courses throughout the country, very few places allow you to hit the greens year round with such beautiful natural surroundings and sunny weather. Do we need any more reasons for you to pack your bags (and clubs) today and head to beautiful Myrtle Beach?!
There are also thousands of other entertainment options in Myrtle Beach, ensuring there is something to satisfy every taste for adventure.  There are over 50 mini-golf courses, an indoor amusement park with 100 interactive exhibits, ATV adventure tours, the Duplin Winery (for those over 21, of course), the Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center. There is also incredible shopping for those looking for a little retail therapy, mouthwatering restaurants and year-round explorations hiding around every corner.
What are the downfalls of living in Myrtle Beach during the winter?
We thought long and hard about this one, and there are a few trade offs that you will have to deal with by moving to Myrtle Beach year-round. You will have to give up shoveling snow, trade in your insulated jackets for swimsuits and beach cover ups, give up hot chocolate for refreshing lemonade, and exchange your winter skin care routine for an SPF. Long winter days spent at the beach may lead to things such as extreme happiness, unheard of relaxation, a healthy amount of vitamin D, a deep connection with nature and lasting memories. If you are willing to risk all of these trade offs by living in Myrtle Beach in the winter, then give us a call so we can help you find your dream home. The truth is, there really is no place like Myrtle Beach during the winter months and now is the perfect time for you to take that leap and settle into this wonderful community.
